Sameday Courier is a time sensitive service that is available to all major centres. The shipment will be collected within 1 hour and will be placed on the first available flight. Delivery will be undertaken within 2 hours of the flights arrival. The service is available to all centres serviced by scheduled airlines.
Overnight Courier is a door to door and time sensitive service.
Following collection, delivery is undertaken by 10:30 the following day. This service is available to all major centres from Monday to Friday.
Local Overnight
This service includes items that are collected in the same city will be delivered by close of business the following day. This service is currently only available in Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town.
Road Freight is for larger and less time sensitive items.
Normal/Economy Airfreight is designed for larger and heavier consignments.
Hazardous Cargo can be moved depending on the nature of the goods and profession packaging is required by IATA standards.
Union Freight Services liability is limited to R50.00 per shipment. If the value of the goods exceeds this value, insurance cover is strongly recommended. This can be done through completing the “insured amount” section on our waybill. Alternatively, clients have the option of insuring their shipment through their own insurance company. Insurance only covers total loss. Please contact our offices for our rates.
Additional Services
- Saturday Deliveries and Collections are available. A surcharge for this service will apply.
- Sunday & Public Holiday Deliveries is only available on our overnight and international courier options. A surcharge for this service will apply.
Early Bird Delivery
This service guarantees an early morning delivery by the time specified on the House Airway Bill (HAWB) to main centres only. Delivery is effected before 09h00 the following business day. A surcharge will apply.
After Hours Collection & Deliveries are available should your shipment need to be collected or delivered after business hours. A surcharge for this service will be applied.
Mines and Farms, collections and deliveries can be undertaken. A surcharge will apply.
Embassy & Consulate Collections & Deliveries are offered. A surcharge for this service will apply. Please consult with our office.
Calculations
- A Fuel Surcharge of the chargeable mass will be levied.
- A Documentation Fee will cover liability of up to R50.00. To be linked to insurance
- Volumetric Charges are charged on shipments at the greater of either the actual or volumetric mass. This calculation is done by measuring: length (cm) x breadth (cm) x height (cm) of the shipment
